what Joni Mitchell would have done had she been an MC5 fan

Found this on youtube: Manchester's greatest band interviewed by the legendary Tony Wilson circa Meat is Murder (1985).

  • Sourced from VHS - nice and grainy.
  • A couple of warm-hearted jokes from the band's desperately brilliant rhythm section (that's Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke for the uninitiated).
  • An aggressive defence of The Headmaster Ritual by Moz.
  • And a wonderful, concise demonstration of Jonny's present guitar influences (folk, rockabilly) and techniques (those spacious, Reel Around the Fountain style arpeggios).

P.S. This utterly fabulous blog is also a must for any Smiths fan worth his salt: http://www.smithsonguitar.com/
