So I went for a walk and I took the Ricoh with me, and this is what I came up with. Or at least the best of what I came up with, I might put some more images up later.
It was a pretty standard walk, and an opportunity to test out a serious analogue camera. It still surprises me how striking Berkshire can be if you take the time to step into it once in a while, and it really is a case of stepping into it. Where I live the countryside is often footsteps away from your house.
For me what's really interesting about this part of England is how the countryside and the urban-residential meet. Sometimes they fuse and sometimes they collide. Go for a walk and you might find that the countryside is fenced off, hidden or concealed. At other times you'll walk through acres of it without even realising.
(btw, I had Five Leaves Left on my iPod while I was walking. I would put a Nick Drake lyric up, but blogger is a dick)
